What to do? Another job offer?
Ok so I just started my 1st job and I’m 18. It’s part-time at the Crocs shoe store working As part of the stock crew about 3 weeks ago. My hours are based on how much money the store makes per week, so it’s dependent on the sales associates and how much product they sale. The most hours I’ve gotten so far is 15 and the least is 3 (we didn’t sale enough so we had to cut hours). I have recently received a call from a sports store wanting to set up an interview next Monday. I don’t know if I should turn down the interview or not. And if I do get an offer from them do I take it or not? I need extra cash for college next year and these variable 15 our weeks aren’t helping. Do I take on 2 jobs or quit one and accept the other?

Take the second interview. Ask questions during the interview about how many hours you’ll receive and what kind of availability you will need to have. (For example, do they need a closer? Can your availability be after 2pm? Etc.)
Based on the information you receive in your interview, decide if you can handle two jobs. They may have opposing schedules so you can work both. If the interviewer offers you a job on the spot, you’re allowed to ask if you can give them a response within 24/48 hours. (You can say you need time to consider the position, but you will have an answer promptly, and request their phone number.) Then, you have time to decide/talk to your other job/tweak your availability at one or both.
Regardless of what you do, give your current job at least a week’s notice if you quit! I don’t think they need more than that, considering the limited hours you’re working. Good luck!
