Shoe / sandal recommendations for Africa travel?

I will be traveling in southern Africa Nov-Dec and I am looking for footwear recommendations. I usually wear Chacos but they are getting gross so I was looking for something new, perhaps close-toed. How about those dressy Crocs, like the Olivias? I don’t want my feet to be too sweaty. And I am taking trail sneakers, so just something for basic things.

Not crocs, please. They are gross.
