Crocs (the shoes) Do you like crocs, what kind should I get?
I looked at www.crocs.com Are the cost worth the money, and style/kind of crocs are the best for a man in his mid 30’s ? Many of them are ugly.
Honestly, nobody wears Crocs because they look good! If your are looking for style go elsewhere.
But there is something there. I was one of those huge skeptics about Crocs. I thought they were, well, a crock! I’m an American living abroad and on a recent trip to the U.S. I was amazed at how many people were wearing what I thought were these gaudy rubber shoes that must make your feet sweat, smell and give you blisters.
I was wrong!! A few weeks ago, I had to go get my 2-year-old a new pair of summer shoes and the clerk had the store had him try Crocs despite my eye-rolling. It was crazy! He immediately loved them and refused to take them off. We had to buy them (at an outrageous price — here in Europe they cost about twice as much as in the states) just to get out of the store.
I started thinking that if a two-year-old, who still has no idea about fashion or trends (if it’s not on Playhouse Disney, he’s clueless), loves them there might be something there. So I went and tried them on and was amazed at how comfortable, light and airy they are. I’ve now read up on them and the special material they are made of they don’t make you sweat and everyone in my family owns a pair including my in-laws and parents in the U.S. who had swore to never get them.
Maybe we’re all crazy but we love our Crocs.
