13 month old refuses to wear shoes!?
My son is 13 months old and will be moving to the toddler room at daycare at the end of this month. They require that all kids wear shoes while there. My son refuses! He lets you put them on him but when you put him on the ground he wont move – he just stands there and whines!
I’ve tried sandals, slippers, crocs, tennis shoes, dress shoes, flip flops…he won’t wear any kind of shoe! What can I do?!?
it’s normal for toddlers to not want to wear shoes, but if that’s the requirement, then you have to put them on him. just bring him to daycare in some tennis shoes (as these are harder for the child to take off) and take him to day care. he may whine a bit, but taking them off shows your son that if he whines he will get his way..
