Crocs In Trouble
please help!!! african safari!?
i want to go on a 7 – 10 day safari trip to africa but am having trouble finding out where i should go in africa and what company to book through. seeing lots of big cats and crocs etc.. seeing them hunt if possible! are my main specifications. and with nice accomodation. (doesnt have to be luxury) any help would be much appreciated! thanks
James – I’ve been on safari in Kenya and it was great – but a couple of tips:
a) don’t go in the rainy season as the animals do not have to gather round water holes – you won’t see as many as in the dry season
b) make absolutely sure you never drink anything other than bottled water, that any fruit you eat has been washed in bottled water and that you NEVER have ice in a drink. After a long day in the land rover I accepted a gin & tonic with ice & lemon without putting my brain in gear – and was ill, very, very ill, for over a week and lost over a stone in weight.
