DAREDEVILS will be trapped in a fibreglass “cage of death” and dropped more than 4m into a crocodile tank as the main feature of a new theme park set to open in Darwin in two weeks.
The 15-minute underwater up close and personal interaction with the croc is set to be a favourite of the $29million Crocosaurus Cove three-level crocodile theme park in Mitchell Street.
The Cage of Death — which was described as a “shark cage without bars” — is expected to be a tourist highlight, but the theme park will also have seven croc enclosures with viewing windows below water level.
One of the pits will have a swimming area next to the window, where visitors can swim with the crocs.
