Crocs sizing problem?
I’m a size 11.5 or 12 shoe. I bought a XL pair of crocs (Men size 10-11) because the XXL size (12-13) was far too big for me. But now these crocs, after the first day, are hurting the front of my big toes and pinching them in. It makes them mostly unwearable.
QUESTION: Can I break them in and toughen up my toes by just wearing them more or is this something that cannot get better?
Or, is there a way I can get a more custom-sized pair on their website or something?

I would really just appreciate an answer rather than being told to get rid of them.
As much as I despise crocs, I will seriously answer the question. You probably should have purchased the larger size. They are footbed based, meaning that your feet settle into the contoured and shaped center of the shoe and there is room all around the foot for comfort. They are supposed to be larger than your foot; that’s what makes them supposedly comfortable and also makes your feet look clunky and chunky and large. That large chunky look is what drives fashion people crazy. I don’t know the return policy of the store where you purchased them, some places might let you exchange them for the larger pair, some places might not. Perhaps your foot is narrow and you thought the smaller size would be better because the shoe was too wide?
They are plastic, and plastic is somewhat pliable. They might stretch out with wearing. Since water won’t hurt them, you could try soaking them in hot water for a while and then wearing them with thick socks. I know that helps stretch width, but for length, I’m not 100% sure.
No, there’s no such thing as custom made crocs, they are injection molded by machines, so they come only in standard sizes. custom making molds for one use only would be prohibitively expensive. A few models come in specific sizes, but all are quite wide. That’s about the best i can offer for advice.
